Hi, I’m an ex-TV reporter, like Padraig O’Toole, now working as a communications consultant with several companies. I’ve been long obsessed with quantum physics and its great central question: how do things really work? This leads on to the persistent question of what the hell we’re doing here in the first place. It’s an inquiry not much enlightened by the brainiest science and its underpinnings of abstruse mathematics, which reveal indisputably that, at the ground of being, nothing makes sense.

What’s going on? It’s the question the good people of Denison, New York, can’t shake. It’s quite a serious question, of course, but I don’t take it too seriously, nor does the novel.
I worked for decades as a global correspondent for CNN, ABC News and others. I was born in New York and I've lived in Manhattan, Miami, Santiago, Jerusalem, Berlin, Boston and now I’m back in New York, hiding a little north of the city because I can’t afford it and, well, the rats.

Thanks for being here!
